As the main character of the Mega Man Legends series, Rock is the designated "Mega Man" of the games, meaning he comes with a Buster Gun, and can equip special weapons.

Unlike the original Mega Man and Mega Man X games though, Rock doesn't obtain his special weapons from defeating enemy bosses. Instead, his sister Roll creates them by using scavenged items and junk parts found in the underground ruins. She can also upgrade the special weapons, given Rock pays her the necessary amount of zenny for her to find and buy the equipment necessary to do so. Usually, the special weapons compliment the Buster Gun well, with the Buster being equipped on Rock's left arm, and a special weapon of choice being equipped on his right arm to fit the occasion. Nonetheless, only one special weapon can be equipped at a time.

Currently with Rock are the following:

The Drill ArmCollapse )

The Machine Gun ArmCollapse )

The Shield ArmCollapse )

The Shining LaserCollapse )

[ The feed comes on to what could be considered a very familiar sight to some. A head of messy brown hair, with two bright emerald eyes staring right into the feed, and a small genuine smile spread across the face. It was Rock, trying his best to look optimistic and cheerful. And to his credit, he was doing a good job, if only because for once, he didn't feel like he had any anxiety to hide right now. ]

Hi guys. [ He said simply, closing his eyes and grinning a bit, raising his arm to wave at the camera. Or he would've, if he had an arm to raise right now. A fact that became obvious when he glanced over at his shoulder and chuckled a bit sheepishly, the camera panning to the side a bit to show that from the shoulder down, there was no actual limb. ] I was uh, gonna wave at you guys, but I guess not.

[ At this point, it's probably a bit more obvious that the camera is aimed down at him from a bird's-eye-view position, his head resting against a pillow as he holds the communicator with his other arm-- which is actually there, for starters. ]

So, I figure I've probably been gone for a while. [ Another sheepish chuckle. Because at this point, saying 'sorry' seemed a bit pointless. ] What'd I miss?

Um, I've been meaning to ask for a while now. The houses, all around the village? I realize most of them are abandoned, so this might be a dumb question, but...

Is there... anything specific I need to do to move into one of the houses? As in, is there anyone keeping a list of who's in what house? Do I need to talk to them? Or do I just... move in wherever I want?

... I'm just wondering, since I figure I should probably stop taking up space in the inn..

[ There are a couple of seconds of silence following that last sentence, almost as if Rock is debating whether to say something else or not. But ultimately he decides against it, ending the feed there. ]

[ The first obvious thing that could be seen when the feed came on was the fact that Rock wasn't wearing his armor. He was wearing regular clothing, just a simple light blue t-shirt and a pair of khaki shorts. His armor wasn't in the best condition, which was why he'd opted to just take it off for now. But it became clear as day that neither was he.

He wasn't as worse off as some of the other people had been in the attack, but there were definitely some "bruises" on Rock's arms and legs. "Bruises" being the simplest term to associate with the injuries, if only because the bruises looked more like dents and tears than anything else. Some parts of his arms and legs looked like they were caved in, as if they were made of metal and had been struck by something hard and blunt. Meanwhile, some parts of his skin were torn open and exposed. But not enough to be a major concern. Still, it was enough that it wasn't that hard to look past the tears and notice the metal and gears and circuitry inside.

A fact that wasn't bothering Rock any as he continued to sit on the floor, dislodged one of his arms from his shoulder, and set it down in front of him, opening it up carefully with his other arm and trying to assess the damage. ]

... This isn't too bad. [ He murmured to himself, starting to feel for the dents and hoping to push them back into place. ] But I still wish Roll were here to fix it...

[ And then a pause, as he chuckled softly and shook his head. Although anyone who knew him could probably tell it wasn't as energetic as it usually was.. ] No, she'd probably chew me out for this... and for forgetting my birthday again.

[ He was silent after that, his movements slowing down as he simply gazed down at his arm, smile dropping slightly. And then the guilt started filtering in. You were useless. You couldn't save anyone. You let people die. You couldn't help anyone. Rock shook his head at that, eyes closing as he pushed those thoughts away. He... just needed to focus on getting his limbs fixed up. That was it.

And that was what he continued to do. Up until the transmission timed out. ]

Um, I know this is probably going to be a weird question-- and no one has to answer if they don't want to! But I was wondering...

[ A pause. ]

... What's Father's Day?

[ Another pause. ]

-- I-I mean, I guess it's pretty self-explanatory. But I mean, how's it celebrated? How does it work? Is it like a birthday, but with dads?

[ And another pause... ]

Not that I can celebrate it anyway, but... I've never really heard of anything like that before..

[ Oh hello there Demeleier. The time is now 5 AM. And what's that racket you hear over your communicator? Why, that would be the sound of some angry cuckoos attacking a helpless victim. But that's no ordinary helpless victim, oh no. In fact, the blue armor and metallic footsteps might actually seem familiar to some. But all that is overshadowed by the sound of Rock trying to shoo away the darn things. ]

-- G-Get off already! Look, I-I just wanted some eggs, don't-- Hey! Cut that out-- Get off my head! Will you just--

[ Whatever Rock planned to say, it was quickly cut off by the sound of him slamming the door behind him and sighing in very obvious relief, the sound of the cuckoos still going on in the background, but sounding that much more muffled before simply dying down. He leaned his back against the door and closed his eyes, slowly catching his breath... before cracking his eyes open and glancing down at his open palm, where he was carrying more than a handful of eggs. ]

Guess I can't blame them for being so overprotective... [ He then cracked a sheepish smile, making his way over to what looked like the inn's kitchen, before putting on the nearest apron. A sight that must've looked downright silly, given he was still wearing his armor underneath it. ] But at least I got enough eggs to last a bit..!

[ A frying pan then comes into view, his sheepish smile slowly turning into a more genuine one as he cracks one of the eggs on the pan and starts carrying it over to the kitchen fireplace. ] Now to just make sure I cook them right...

[ The first thing that could be heard the moment the feed came on was the sound of metallic footsteps over the cobblestone, each step slow and cautious as the very faint sound of static kept coming on and off through the communicator. With each burst of static though, came what sounded like the click of a button. But it sounded so distant, it couldn't have been coming from the communicator itself. ]

Roll? Professor? Can you hear me? This is Rock, please come in! [ The voice didn't sound panicked or anything, but it definitely sounded confused. And young. There was another click and burst of faint static before he spoke again. ]

... Roll! Professor! Please come in! [ A pause. ] ... Data, can you hear me? Yuna? ... Sera?

[ Once again, nothing but that faint static. At which point there's another click and the static finally goes away. ]

I guess I'm on my own for this one...
